Omniscout have developed the World’s smallest most accurate tracking device with their Patented AAGPS technology.

Does the device only work outdoors?
No. With Omniscout’s unique AAGPS, full tracking can continue in high density areas such as thick woodlands, underground car parks and areas with no sight of the sky / satellites. Basically, what distinguishes the Omniscout from other solutions is our ability to Track even when there is NO GPS signal using our Patented GSM Cell tower technology.

Does the device work inside a moving vehicle?
Yes. The Omniscout does not need to be connected to a vehicle to report speed or location.

What wireless network standards does Omniscout use?
GSM is the standard for digital cellular communications in much of the World, and Omniscout have partnered with O2 for data handling.

What geographic areas does the device cover?
Omniscout trackers work in 193 countries.

What kind of power does the device require?
The Omniscout comes with a rechargeable battery which lasts up to 24 hours as standard. It can also be equipped with a 21 day battery pack and when hardwired to a vehicle the Omniscout runs from the vehicles battery. The Omniscout is well below industry standards for parasitic drain on a vehicles battery and will not cause battery drain.

How durable is the Omniscout?
The Omniscout has been designed to the American FBI and Drugs Enforcement Agency specification.

How accurately is the device able to report location information?
The Omniscout reports are typically accurate within approximately 12 feet.

How frequently can the device report position?
The Omniscout can be programmed to send updates based on any user-defined time ranges whether in motion or not and on any preset Alert.

How big is the Omniscout?
The Omniscout tracker is about the size of a business card.

Does anything need to be provided with the device?
Yes, the Omniscout tracker requires an SMS capable SIM (Subscriber Identifier Module) card, similar to what is used in all mobile phones.

Can the device send an alert to a mobile phone?
The Omniscout tracker can send information via SMS, Website and email.
